Project Scope

From our first meeting, the client specified their primary requirements clearly. These involved- UI/UX Design, UX Strategy, Frontend Development, and Backend Development.

They required revamping their web app as well as their mobile app, as it was missing the key essential aspects- user-friendliness, clean design, and improvement in broken functionalities throughout the site.

Our goal was to build a modern yet professional UI/UX design, provide an efficient UX strategy, and improve their frontend ad backend to enable ease of use and have multiple CTAs regarding signing up or requesting a demo.

Goals

→ Redesigning the web and mobile app platforms with an improved UX/UI

→ Multiple CTAs to increase leads and conversions

→ Attracting investors with better appeal and functionalities

→ Talks about all the products & solutions

Challenges

→ The app’s dynamic nature to manage customers, bookings, payments, communication, solutions, etc.

→ Frontend/backend-related technical content (multiple proofreads required)

→ Conversion-oriented apps without being too inconvenient and difficult to use

Outcomes

The final deliverables included a sitemap, style guides, UX design, and UI design. With prompt and punctual deliveries & continuous client feedback, our team completed this project in an 8-month timeline.

The client was impressed with the outputs and the feedback received after the final delivery was very minimal as the client was kept updated throughout each phase.

Styleguides

After our discovery session with the Xride team, we conclusively came up with three different style guides, i.e. Mild, Medium, and Spicy.

Our choice leaned more towards the complete vector approach (as customers seem to prefer it), but the client seemed keener on the vector and raster approach.

The reason was simple and most of the client’s customers are from diverse demographics and prefer looking for authentic & credible digital taxi services.

So, the final attributes were:

  1. Shades of blue and green for decency and renovation, and also for CTA.
  2. A shade of pink and a tinge of purple on the logo to evoke feelings of comfort, warmth, luxury, and hospitality.
  3. Rasters for emotional connections. 
  4. Vectors to look modern and have an aesthetic appeal.
  5. San Serif font for professionalism.
  6. Consistent simplicity throughout the design.
Ux Design

Based on the approved sitemap, we designed and built the UX for 37 pages with an AIDA concept-focused copy.

The goal was to ensure quick accessibility.

Our plan involved building a mega menu that granted users quick and easy navigation and access to their desired options and settings, solutions, company-related information as well as CTAs in one go without any chance of getting lost.

An equally important aspect was multiple CTA’s spread across the site with proofs like numbers, testimonials, partners, clients, etc. to increase the conversion rates.

With another small addition to the UX- a marketing pop-up to collect leads that didn’t interfere with or interrupt the user focus yet was convincing enough to get the mail IDs the UX was completed.

UI Design

In the subsequent design phase, our task was to build high-fidelity designs with interactive prototypes for both web & mobile apps.

We went ahead with the mobile-first approach after clarifying with the client and combined the mid-fidelity screens with the approved style guide with a proper design system in place.

While combining the vectors & raster we faced multiple challenges but our designers managed to find a sweet spot that made it work, successfully creating an exceptional UI design.

Once again, simplicity was the best design choice that made the apps easy to use & understand.

Tools and Technology

The client loved and appreciated the outcome and deliverables. We went ahead with the development of the web app and mobile app with a timeline of 3 weeks followed by deployment.
