Online Tailoring and eCommerce Platform for Indian Market

Our very first client was Fabric Tailor, an online tailoring shop in Bengaluru.

The company was focused on selling fabric of all kinds and offering tailoring solutions at ease.

The company also had several offline outlets.

Project Scope

The founders Promod and Ravi approached us with the idea of making a tailoring service online.

A platform where users can feed all the required information like sizes, design, choice of clothing, and order a well-tailored dress.

The solution was a dynamic and user-friendly web portal. Our team was hired for Branding, UI/UX Design as well as development activities.

Goals

→  Design a professional looking logo

→  Payment gateway & shipping provider integration

Challenges

Outcomes

The final deliverables included a sitemap, Logo design, collaterals, brand guide, UI design, and a developed site.

With on-time deliveries & continuous client feedback, we could complete this project in 8 weeks timeline.

The output was loved by the client. The feedback received after the final design was very minimal as the client was with us in each phase.

Logo Design

After working on more than 30 logo concepts and several iterations, the final logo colors were locked by the Fabric Tailor team.

The final logo was a combination of their brand initials ‘F’& ‘T’ and a symbol of fabric. The colors were gold and blue to bring out a premium look.

Finally, we used bold sans serif font to come up with the wordmark ‘Fabric Tailor’.

Collaterals

Apart from the logo, the client required us to design some of their physical collaterals. This included visiting cards and letterheads.

Guidelines

Finally, we jump to creating a brand guide that can be used by the client & other third-party vendors to maintain brand authenticity.

The following details were included in the brand guide:

1. Logo Family & Usage
2.Typography & Colors
3. Iconography & Photography
4. Collaterals and Mockups

UI Design

Once the UX design was locked by the client, we went ahead with the UI Design. We were supposed to design high-fidelity wireframes for The Research Gate site consisting of 20 pages.

As always, we went ahead with the mobile-first approach. The goal was to make sure starting from the menu to the products, the user must enjoy using it.

Our designers also added some very good-looking banners that caught the eyes of the users and made the user explore the site more.

The overall design came out really well and it was loved by the client too.

Finally, we went ahead with the development of WordPress CMS. This was a troublesome activity that our team completed in 2 weeks.
