In the past decade, we have seen multiple quirky fashion brands building their market. Desi Pajamas belongs to the same fashion industry.

As the name suggests, they deal in Pajamas, Capri’s, and other bottom wears. The entire business is run online.

Project Scope

Shaheer, Rashad, and other team members of the Desi Pajamas team approached us to build an online eCommerce store for their brand.

Our team was hired for the style guide design, UI/UX design, and e-portal development activities.

Goals

→  Quirky and funky design
→  Filtering & Sorting options
→  Payment Gateway Integration
→  Essential eCommerce features

Challenges

→  To be built on WooCommerce
→  Multiple queries filtering option
→  Managing a database of 1000+ products
→  Marketing trackers & triggers setup

Outcomes

The final design came out to be creative, vibrant, and easy to use.

From finding pajamas to filtering the categories, and from creating a browser-based wish list to comparing multiple products, everything fell under a few clicks.

Although working with yellow as the primary color was difficult, our designers did a great job to bring it to perfection.

Styleguides

Based on our discovery session with the Desi Pajamas team, we managed to come up with three different style guides.

Since the colors were already locked, we were obliged to work on fonts, layout, photography, and iconography.

Desi Pajamas - Styleguide

After a couple of iterations, we came up with the final moldboard with the following attributes:

1. Yellow for the funky look
2. Colored background for products
3. Raster for emotional connection
4. Creative & broken UI elements
5. Use of curves for friendliness
6. Serif fonts for quirkiness

UI Design

Our team quickly worked on the mid-fidelity wireframes that were locked after one iteration.

Later we took the mid-fidelity wireframes and the approved moodboard to come up with the high-fidelity designs.

The entire activity was done for mobile as well as desktop. Finally, the client approved the prototype and we went ahead with the development.

As decided, the entire eCommerce platform was built on the WordPress CMS in 3 weeks timeline.
