TruScholar is an online platform that uses the power of blockchain technology to secure the credentials of institutions and improve their issuance & verification systems.

With the help you TruScholar, entities like institutions, event management firms, employee training organizations, etc. can create & grant verifiable digital certificates, and badges to the participants & students.

Project Scope

From our first meeting, it was clear that ‘User Experience’ is their primary requirement.

They already had a web app, but it was missing user friendliness, clean design, and broken functionalities throughout the site.

Our goal was to build a modern yet professional design that is easy to use and has multiple CTAs regarding signing up or requesting a demo.

Goals

→ Redesigning the platform with an improved UI
→ Multiple CTAs to increase conversions
→ Focused on attracting investors
→ Talks about all the products & solutions

Challenges

→ Dynamic nature of the site to manage team, posts, solutions, etc.
→ Blockchain-related technical content (multiple proofreads required)
→ Conversion-oriented site without being too salesy

Outcomes

The final deliverables included a sitemap, styleguides, UX design, and UI design. With on-time deliveries & continuous client feedback, we could complete this project in 8 weeks timeline.

The output was loved by the client. The feedback received after the final design was very minimal as the client was with us in each phase.

Styleguides

Based on our discovery session with the TruScholar team, we managed to come up with three different styleguides, i.e. Mild, Medium, and Spicy.

Although our choice was to go with the complete vector approach (as students love it), the client decided to go for the vector and raster approach.

The reason was simple and most of the client customers were not students but organizations who were looking for authentic & credible digital certificate providers.

So, the final attributes were:

1. Blue for authenticity
2. Orange for vibrant CTA
3. Rasters for emotional connection
4. Vectors to look modern
5. Professionalism with San Serif
6. Simplicity throughout the design

UX Design

Based on the approved sitemap, we were supposed to build the UX for 37 pages with a copy that is focused on the AIDA concept.

The goal was to make everything accessible quickly.

So we plan to build a mega menu that enables users to access products, solutions, company-related information as well as CTAs in one go without any chance of getting lost.

Another important aspect was multiple CTA’s spread across the site with proofs like numbers, testimonials, partners, clients, etc. to increase the conversion rates.

Another small addition to the UX was a marketing pop-up to collect leads, but without disturbing user focus yet convincing enough to get the mail ids.

UI Design

Lastly, in the design phase, we were supposed to build high-fidelity designs with interactive prototypes for both desktop & mobile devices.

As per clear request, we went ahead with the mobile-first approach. The UX or mid-fidelity screens were combined with the approved styleguide with a proper design system in place.

We faced multiple challenges with combining the vectors & raster but somehow our designers found the sweet spot and made it work.

Again, the best was simplicity in design that made the entire website easy to use & understand.

The outcome was loved by the client. We went ahead with the development on the WordPress CMS with a timeline of 3 weeks followed by deployment.
