My Inspekt is a property inspection app built by the Inspekt team.

The company operates in the United Kingdom and plans to expand in the United States. The mobile app can be used to inspect and rate any valuable property item.

The app can be used by both landlords (to protect property) and tenants (to save on the deposit).

Project Scope

The client call started with numerous comments on the old design of their existing site.

The client ‘Terry’ was not happy with too many colors, a boring layout that misses on trust factors, and most importantly broken links.

Moreover, his ideas were to separate the corporate service site from the product site. We agreed on his ideas and went ahead with the dedicated product site.

Goals

→  Creative and modern UI design
→  Product UI graphics to be used
→  Multiple CTA’s to trigger app downloads
→  Focused on attracting investors

Challenges

→  Too less content provided by the client
→  Focusing on two sets of the target audience
→  Combining blue & green in a professional way
→  Mobile app design was not ready

Outcomes

The final deliverables included a sitemap, style guides, UX design, and UI design.

With on-time deliveries & continuous client feedback, we were able to complete this project in 6 weeks timeline with development & deployment.

The output was loved by the client. The feedback received after the final design was very minimal as the client was with us in each phase.

Styleguides

Based on our discovery session with the Inspekt team, we managed to come up with three different style guides, i.e. Mild, Medium, and Spicy.

Our team and the clients were on the same side as we both liked the vectors approach and rounded design.

The finalized mood boards had the following attributes:

1. Blue for authenticity
2. Green for vibrant CTA
3. Vectors for creative design
4. Sans Serif fonts for cleanliness
5. Rounded design for friendliness

UX Design

Based on the approved sitemap, we were supposed to build the UX for 6 pages with a copy that is focused on attracting investors & clients.

The UX for this web app was simple when compared to our other clients.

The only catch was to address two different set audiences (landlords & tenants) from one design.

We were also supposed to attract investors as well as real estate agents who can partner with them and fetch them more customers.

UI Design

Lastly, in the design phase, we were supposed to build high-fidelity designs with interactive prototypes for both desktop & mobile devices.

As per clear request, we went ahead with the mobile-first approach. The UX or mid-fidelity screens were combined with the approved style guide with a proper design system in place.

We faced multiple challenges with combining the green with blue but somehow our designers found the sweet spot and made it work.

Again, the best was simplicity in design that made the entire website easy to use & understand.

The final outcome was loved by the client. The entire project was closed in 6 weeks timeline with development, deployment, and backend training.
