Aggregator app that helps students to study in Australia

ANZ Global is an educational aggregator business that focuses on easing the admission process in more than 50 colleges in Australia.

With the help of ANZ Global, students from across the globe can learn about admission procedures, eligibility criteria, health insurance, student visas, and much more.

Hence, making the entire admission process less troublesome.

Project Scope

ANZ Global already has an online platform where users can search for courses & reach out to their support team.

However, the user experience was poor. The course/college search & filter functionality was difficult to use with no dashboard to keep track of applied courses.

Our goal was to redefine the user experience with an improved UI and a login system so that the user can wishlist, apply & track the courses with the status of their application.

Goals

→  Improvising the user interface complete with a new styleguide
→  Building a simple search & find feature for courses & colleges
→  Student dashboard to track applications & create a wishlist
→  Backend to manage student applications

Challenges

→  Functionality must be achieved on WordPress CMS
→  Multi parent-child relation between college, streams, courses, and applications
→  Raster and Vector mixed style approach to be taken
→ To be built on the AIDA concept for easy marketing

Outcomes

The results were astonishing. The entire design came out really clean, simple, and easy to use. From finding courses to tracking applications, everything fell under a few clicks.

The styleguide matched the taste of the target audience and the overall site performed really well regarding speed, simplicity in usage, and different devices.

Finally, a green happy signal from to client to go live.

Styleguides

Based on our discovery session with Faysal Bahar (CEO) and the team, we managed to come up with two different styleguides.

Although our choice was to go with the complete vector approach (as teenagers love it), the client decided to go for the vector + raster approach.

The reason was simple, most of the customers were not teenagers but parents who were looking for authentic & credible service providers. So,

1. Blue for authenticity
2. Orange for vibrant CTA
3. Rasters for emotional connection
4. Vectors to look modern
5. Professionalism with San Serif
6. Simplicity throughout the design

Logo Design

The old logo was missing basic attributes like responsiveness and versatility. Our goal was to redesign the logo while retaining the wordmark for brand recognition.

The final logo came out really good. From banners to signage, the logo depicts the same look & feel.

We also managed to tweak the icon into the wordmark at the letter Z.

Collaterals

Apart from the logo, the client required us to design some digital collateral. This includes cover images, social media posts, etc.

Guidelines

Finally, we jump to creating a brand guide that can be used by the client & other third-party vendors to maintain brand authenticity.

Ux Design

Based on the approved sitemap, we were supposed to build the UX for 38 pages with no action being more than 3 clicks away.

Let it be signup, course/college search, apply for a course, or anything, we made sure that the user experience was super simple & straightforward with no jargon or waste of the digital real estate whatsoever.

The results came out to be promising, especially the filters ‘What would you like to study?’ and ‘Where would you like to study?’ Made it very easy for students to find the right course.

Apart from the colleges & courses details, the entire UX copy was finalized by our UX team and was focused on easy-to-understand and increase in conversion rates.

UI Design

Lastly, in the design phase, we were supposed to build high-fidelity designs with interactive prototypes for both desktop & mobile devices.

Our designers followed a mobile-first approach as 95% of visitors are mobile. The UX was combined with the approved styleguide with a proper design system in place.

We faced multiple challenges with combining the vectors & raster but somehow our designers found the sweet spot and made it work.

Again, the best was simplicity in design that made the entire website easy to use & understand.

The outcome was loved by the client. We went ahead with the development on the WordPress CMS with a timeline of 4 weeks.
